I love capturing families every year, but even more special, is when those families refer their friends to me. This family was a family that gets it - what a photo session is all about. From the moment I spoke to this mom on the phone, I knew we were going to have a great shoot. She was just as excited about the session as me. As we finalized the details, I was even more excited! The session date neared and the weather looked treacherous. We almost rescheduled, yet the rains held off and the sun even came out to shine down on this beautiful family.

Mom is busy with three young men, but these were such sweet and playful boys. You could tell that the big brothers help so much with their baby brother. I just love how this young man posed himself. It is so sweet, and seems so fitting to his more reserved personality.A Family that Gets it, Snoqualmie Family PhotographerAs I said, that sun came out. So we had some fun with the son providing beautiful back lighting!

A Family that Gets it, Snoqualmie Family PhotographerYou have to love a mama and her boys (at least two of them, since the youngest wanted a break). A Family that Gets it, Snoqualmie Family PhotographerBut then we had some one-on-one time with the youngest. A Family that Gets it, Snoqualmie Family PhotographerThis next image is my favorite from the session. Even more special, the family loved it too, and even chose it as a canvas for their wall! Dad had told me that it is their story right now, showing the journey they are on. My heart filled, because it was confirmed once again that this is a family that gets it, they understood the importance of this session and the moments we captured together.A Family that Gets it, Snoqualmie Family Photographer
