On my recent women's craft retreat (more to come on that later!) I was finally documenting 2013! What does that mean? Isn't 2013 over how am I documenting 2013? Well, for me, taking a ton of photos and loading them onto the computer to be lost forever isn't truly documenting the year. I want to have my photos available for my kids to pour through. Sure, I have prints around the house. But it was time to start putting together my 2013 photo album! As you've seen in previous month's posts, I'm using Digital Project Life as a method for designing my personal albums. When I'm done I will use Blurb to print the album. This year I'm trying to stay up to date with my pages design, but I'm also working backwards as I admit I've fallen behind! Without further ado, I am finally documenting 2013! (Here's January at least!)
We started the year off in the happiest place on earth - DISNEYLAND! Milo's first ride was Dumbo's Flight, and then it was onto the tea cups with Grandma. There were lots of characters to meet and things to see!
Milo's favorite part was the parade and the playground in Mickey's Toon Town. There were so many great moments, I'm so glad I'm finally getting them into an album to be printed! After Disneyland, we headed down to San Diego, where we met up with some great friends. In true Washingtonian spirit, we were the only ones on the beach in January! We also visited the San Diego Zoo several times. All of the kids loved the animals. I admit, it was an awesome zoo.Once back home, it was settling in for a few fun things around the house. Milo got a big boy hair cut, and started trying to dress himself - with things like Derek's shorts. Sawyer was so small, I can't believe how much they have both grown since last year. The kids played so well together, and their relationship was really starting to blossom! I can't wait to finish up (I'm almost done documenting 2013) and get my own hard copy in the mail! There is so much great about digital photography, but there is nothing like holding the photo album in your hands, pouring through it with your kids.
