This past weekend was my first Growing CONFIDENCE Workshop, and the ladies rocked it! The ladies came to grow and transform, and they did exactly that! Wait until you see the photos they captured, after just one day of learning! The past few months, I have been preparing and putting together all of the details to make the day just perfect for the ladies. Putting together the swag bags and materials was so much fun, but a lot of thought went into what each woman would receive for attending. I don't want to spoil everything, but I did include a yummy cupcake featuring a custom topper from Harriet's House of Cakes (my favorite place for all things cupcake toppers!) You'll have to just attend my next workshop to find out the rest!
We dug right into the materials and the ladies started learning how to use our cameras on manual. Leading this journey was such a blessing and an honor. They didn't hold back with their questions, and I watched them become empowered as little light bulbs went off at various points throughout the day. We practiced on each other and special toys before the babies arrived!
A behind the scenes photo of me working with Kaysee and her camera.
Once the mamas with their babies arrived, the real fun began. I loved watching their excitement and determination to capture these babies beautifully. And beautifully they did. They not only captured precious moments, but storytelling moments that we had talked about earlier in the day.
Kaysee, this is such a beautiful moment YOU captured of this baby and mama. She looks so peaceful snuggled up with her mama (and mama looks pretty smitten too!)
This baby girl didn't sleep the whole time, but she snuggled right up to her mommy. I love how Kaysee has captured this moment, framing just right with the focus on the sweet baby girl and you can just see enough of mom to know she's so smitten with her little one.
Laurie, you nailed this shot, girl! Look at how sweet that boy is sleeping in mamas arms.
These ladies didn't just shoot in manual, they played with backlighting. And they both captured amazing shots. Like this one from Laurie, she finessed the backlighting beautifully. I love how baby is looking right at us. So sweet.
Isn't it amazing what they've captured? Share your praise for these women, below in the comments. They invested their time, money and heart into a full day to better themselves, and they have unleashed their creative spirit. I know as a mom that it is hard to take time for ourselves, but it is so very important. So thank you, Kaysee and Laurie for taking time out to spend a day with me. It was a true honor being a part of your journey and I love seeing how you've already transformed.
Thank you to our mamas who took the time out to allow us to capture your beautiful babies. I appreciate you allowing these women to learn, grow, and practice on your adorable babies!
