Recently on Me Ra's blog was an post on photographing mini ballerinas by Laura Swift. It was such a great post, I had to share! Laura, or the grannie with a giggle, is a fellow CONFIDENCE Workshop teacher, based in VA! I admit, I can't wait until I am photographing mini ballerinas of my own. But for now, Sawyer is not in the "I'm going to listen to mom and dance upon request" stage. So I will have to live vicariously through Laura.
I love how Laura has used her big window for beautiful natural light streaming through to show off the tutus on the girls. As you read the article take careful note of how much preparation she did. She didn't pick up her camera and just start shooting, she thought about what she wanted to capture (mini ballerinas) and where. She was intentional about her images, setting things up before enlisting her dancers.

P.S. Knowing how to use your camera will make photographing mini ballerinas so much easier. Sign up for my workshop THIS weekend! Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information and a special 20% off discount code.
