Fresh 48 sessions are always such an amazing experience. Being invited to capture your baby before many have even met him is a privilege I do not take lightly. These sessions are quick but relaxed, allowing mom to rest and recover, but still documenting those details that are so fleeting.
I had the chance to capture this family for maternity, fresh 48, and newborn photos. Even though it was the same family three times within just a few months, so much had changed each time. Each session was unique. Their family went from an expectant family of four, to a family of five. Their youngest became a big brother, and they became parents to a newborn once again. I am so glad they see the value in documenting all of these milestones for their family. They are so important.
Their Fresh 48 session was just mom, dad, and baby boy. As a family of five now, I’m sure times of just the three of them aren’t often. But for that time, it was all about the three of them. For the most part, hospital sessions are for photographing those details specific to a hospital. However, with baby boy born so close to Christmas, mom brought along a little santa hat and blanket so she could have a photo for an announcement and Christmas card right away. (I’d have to say, that is some good planning ahead, there!)
