Wow! I have been absent from the blog for a while! My family is recovering from what feels like the plague (or a viral cold as doctors like to call it). Derek actually managed to get pneumonia and Milo got an ear infection! Needless to say, I'm a bit behind on everything. This week will be full of posts as I'm finally getting to Sawyer's 6 month post, plus my little boy is turning 2 this week! It has been nice to see the return of my happy, smiling children the past few days. Sawyer is getting bigger every day. We have started solids and she is loving them. She will get so excited and try to stuff her fingers in her mouth right after taking a bite. It makes for a rather messy baby.
I decided to use Milo's rocking chair for a few photos this month. I had done some of Milo (on the right) when he was 5 months old, and I love the comparison. While there are distinct differences, I think they look so much alike still! One of Sawyer's favorite things to do is sit in her chair watching her big brother play. This owl toy is also one of her favorites to pull and chew on. It is amazing how many faces a baby can make in a few seconds. I laid her down, chatted with her and got some great expressions! I just love that smile!
She wasn't a huge fan of sheepy this time. I think it was mostly because she's still recovering and was done sitting half naked in a chair, but I still love this shot of her with another great facial expression!
