Red. It seemed like an easy enough topic for this month's workshop teacher blog circle theme. Red. Hmm. Nothing. No inspiration, nothing that popped out in my mind. What was I going to write about?! I decided to put it on the metaphorical shelf in my head and hope something came to me in time. This past weekend I spent time away (more on that coming soon!) with a group of amazing women on Whidbey Island. I spent much of the weekend working on last year's photo book for my family. After seeing and hearing about Project Life, I decided to join the bandwagon and try Digital Project Life! I'm just loving it. It is quick yet has more personal style then the traditional photo book.

As I was working on the pages for last summer, I came to July. RED! And it hit me, I had to share a few of my pages with you.  Let me know what you think, I'd love to share them regularly, to hopefully inspire you for how you can document your family's legacy.

This first page is from last year's 4th of July party I hosted. Lots of red and American pride! It was so much fun, lots of good food, and sparklers for the kids.

In honor of the holiday and Sawyer turning 10 months, I did a themed shoot. I loved the photos of the kids here. And sunny days meant lots of playing in the backyard on the slide.

This next squares template is one of my favorite. Such a great way to add in lots of photos on one page. I even pulled in some photos from Instagram!

In this past year, I can hardly believe how much my kids have changed. I'm so proud that I have taken the time to capture the moments, big and small, to document their lives.  I have loved designing an album that they will love thumbing through for years to come.

Now head on over to fellow teacher and friend, Amy Rhodes' blog for her interpretation of this month's theme - red!

P.S. Leave me a comment, or a message on Facebook, letting me know what you think of digital project life so far!
