It is that time of the month again, the Me Ra Koh Confidence Workshop Teacher's blog circle. This month's theme: Thankful. You see it everywhere this month, people sharing what they are thankful for each day in November. I actually found this as a difficult topic to write on. It isn't that I'm not thankful for anything, but that I feel so blessed that I have so much to be thankful for. In no particular order, I am thankful.... For my health. This past summer I ran the Seattle Rock and Roll Half Marathon with my husband. I am thankful that I was able to accomplish a long time goal this year, and to do it with an important man in my life.
I am so thankful for my little boy, Milo. He is all boy - loving trucks, trains, anything with a big engine. He is coming into his own as a little boy, few signs of my baby left. Yet, he is so sweet and snuggling. I am thankful for all of the hugs and snuggles I get with him. I am especially thankful for the "I luv you mama" that I get each night when I tuck him in at night.
I am thankful for my baby girl, Sawyer. She is so full of energy and spirit and keeps Derek and I on our toes. However, she brings so much life and love into our lives. Her smile and her girlie squeals of delight make my heart feel so full of love.
I am thankful for all of the grandparents in my kids' lives. They are fortunate enough to have 4 amazing grandparents. But I am so thankful for my mom. She gives so much of herself to my family and I wouldn't be able to do this without her. She takes care of the kids twice a week, teaches them, and loves them with everything she has.
You may recognize the family below as clients. I have done numerous sessions for them. But before clients, they are my best friends. If you didn't know, Lyndsey helped Derek and I start dating (back in high school!), and has been there for me every step of the way. She has supported and cheered me on from day 1 for my career in photography. Her husband Tom is one of the few dad's that have personally contacted me to tell me how special the images I have captured for him are. This is one special family and I am thankful they are in my lives.
All in all, I am thankful that I get to take pictures like the one below. It means that I have a beautiful family that gives me love, joy, and adventure.
What are you thankful for this season? I would truly love if you shared in the comments below.
Make sure you head on over to Oregon, sport's expert and senior photographer, Beth Wendland's blog for her take on this month's theme.
