A few weeks ago I had a weekend of CONFIDENCE as I taught both the Growing CONFIDENCE and Budding CONFIDENCE photography workshops. Although the workshops are all about empowering women with their cameras, I honestly can say I leave each workshop feeling empowered, recharged, and on fire! Before a workshop happens, I put in lots of love into sweet swag for the ladies to take home. I found the perfect pocket journals for the ladies to keep notes and photo recipes right at their finger tips. I found a quote stamp that so perfectly fits the theme of the workshop! There was some other fun swag, including a gift certificate towards a Neyssa Lee Photography session! I won't spoil the rest, you'll have to join me to find out!
We spent the morning getting to know each other, then dove right into 8 Easy Camera Settings to Change Results Overnight, learning about lenses and gear that is best for their needs, and then onto the Magic Three - Aperture, Shutter Speed, and ISO. Here we practiced aperture by working with my kid's Little People figures! The ladies were really starting to get it. I could see their confidence growing as they day progressed. After talking about light, storytelling elements and what makes a great photo, the babies arrived! And we had two cuties to practice on! This little one joined us last time when she was just 7 weeks old. She's gotten so big, but still as sweet and beautiful as ever! Other other baby model was this handsome young man. He was the most relaxed 9 month old boy I've ever met! The perfect model for the ladies to practice their new camera skills! And they rocked it. You just know Amy caught an awesome moment here between mother and daughter. Julie Anne (a mother of 3 boys) spent a lot of time with baby girl, I'm sure soaking up all of her girliness!
Just wait until tomorrow when you get to see the amazing images they've captured. You'll be inspired to take the leap and join me in my May, 31st Growing CONFIDENCE Workshop. (Nudge, nudge to the dad's, just after Mother's Day...)
P.S. Already inspired? Sign up for my May 31st Workshop now! Don't worry, you can tell your husbands they are off the hook for Mother's Day, you helped them out!
