After Your Photo Session

I’ve Had My Photo Session. Now What?

Now is the time to start thinking about what you want to do with your images. You didn’t take time out to have your family documented only to let your photographs sit on your computer.

To help inspire you I put together a list of 5 Ways to Use Your Photos. If you love the idea of a canvas or print gallery wall, let me know. I’d love to help with layout/design along with selecting which images would work well together!

Remember that size really does matter. If you put a single 8x10 print above your couch, it will look disproportional and tiny in that space. Instead consider a single larger canvas or several canvases together.

Can I ask you a favor?

As a small business owner, 5-star reviews from families like yours are HUGE. Would you mind taking just a few minutes to write a Google Review? It would mean the world to me, and help others find me.

Unsure what to write? Share about the experience working with me, how you felt during your session and how much you love your photos. Bonus points if you included the city and type of session. For example, "Our family loved working with Neyssa Lee photography for our Seattle newborn portraits....."

Including photos helps too, if you'd like, but completely optional.

Again, I thank you for taking the time. I promise you, it will have made my week.

About your album

 All about your album

Your session comes with a custom designed 8x8 lay flat album with 20 pages (10-spreads).

When your gallery is delivered you will have TWO WEEKS to select favorite and must have images for your album.
After that time I will design and ship your album directly to your home.

Does the thought of selecting images overwhelm you? That's okay, too. I love designing albums, and will select the images that tell the story of your family as we captured them. Each family member (even the furry ones if they were included) will be in the album, along with photos from each section of your portrait session.

However, should you  want to ensure specifics are included here are a couple tips in selecting images.
  • An 10-spread album typically has approximately 35-40 images. Select at least 40 images or more and I will narrow down from those.
  • Your album questionnaire (coming when your gallery is delivered) has a space for "MUST HAVES." Include 1-5 top images. These are ones that will not only for sure be included, but also will be the featured (or larger) images in spreads.
  • Should you wish to include more than 40 images, wonderful! You can request to upgrade the number of spreads. (1 spread per 3-5 images is typically).

You have several cover color and material options to choose from. See them below to help you decide which is right for your family.

There are several options to customize your album even further with album upgrades. Have family who would love their own album? Order a duplicate grandparent album. Learn about all of your additional options under Album Upgrades.

Printing Your Photos

I can only guarantee print quality if you print through me.

One of the most common questions I get asked is, “Where should I print my photos?” Of course, you are always welcome to order products directly through me. I only use labs with excellent quality and great customer service. I offer studio, archival quality products at fair pricing. My hope is that you will display your images for your family to enjoy, and my pricing reflects that hope.

Should you decide to print at your own lab I cannot stress the importance of a good lab. While some labs may be cheaper and more convenient, the end result often does not match the original file. However, there are a couple of consumer level companies I recommend, including Artifact Uprising.
